Pushing Through
Tomorrow marks my one month anniversary since my car accident. Time flew by, which has been good. It allowed me to return to the life I knew pre-accident and adjust to doing the same tasks, just now with one hand. I’m slowly working my left arm higher each day and with some deep breaths and pumping myself up I can achieve a sloppy ponytail. Its an achievement in my books. A sign that soon enough all that will remind me of my car accident is the small knot in my collarbone.
I’ve continued to work, even if from home. I’ve continued doing photoshoots even if one hand. I’ve even continued my schoolwork without even letting my professors know of the accident. I’ve tried my hardest to let life resume back to normal. I can now see my full recovery within sight and its a nice feeling that soon enough I will be able to grab a box of cereal from the top cupboard, put my own bra on or even in time drive myself to work again. I’m taking the simple, small victories I achieve each day and am glad that my life is still normal. Normal is good.
